Sportsbook Wager Types

Comprehensive guide to all available betting options and formats

Spreads (Point Spreads)

The Spread is a type of line that consists of an amount of predetermined points (or goals) you add or subtract to a team or player (side). It evens them out. This is also known as handicap.

With the spread, both teams get balanced with equal chances of winning the bet; the favorite's advantage is reduced, and the underdog's disadvantage is evened out.

You can bet the Spread straight up on a side like team(player) or total. The juice of the wager is 10/11 or $110 to win $100.

Example:
COWBOYS -3½ FALCONS +3½
If you take a straight wager on the COWBOYS -3½ then the COWBOYS must win by 4 points for the wager to win. If the straight wager is on the FALCONS +3½ then the FALCONS cannot lose by more than 3 points for the wager to win. If the FALCONS lost to the COWBOYS by exactly 3, the game would be a "PUSH" and result in "NO ACTION".
MoneyLines

The Moneyline is the value given to a Side and it indicates how favored (or not) a line is by setting a price on it, thus, the more favored a team is, the more you will have to lay on it to win the same amount.

You may pick the Moneyline straight up and select which team is going to win regardless of the spread.

Example:
COWBOYS -165 FALCONS +165
If you wager on the COWBOYS -165 you lay $165 to win $100. If you wager on the FALCONS +165 you lay $100 to win $165.
Totals (Over/Under)

The Total is mainly based on the spread. Wagers with Totals comprehend the total points or goals scored in a game by both teams. You may select OVER or UNDER the posted line. The juice of the wager is 10/11 (or 110/100).

Example:
COWBOYS 34 -110 FALCONS 34 -110
The TOTAL is at 34, and if you place a wager on the UNDER 34, the combined total score of both teams must fall UNDER 34 pts. If you place a wager for OVER 34, the combined total score of both teams must go OVER 34 pts. If the combined total score falls on 34pts, then the wager is considered as a "PUSH" and there would be "NO ACTION".
It is the member's responsibility to question and clarify any event not covered or rules he/she does not understand prior to placing any wagers.

Buying & Selling Points

This feature allows you to buy or sell points on the spread to your advantage. It can be used on your Straight wagers and Parlays at a set-up money line (Regular price is -110).

Example: COLTS -6
  • After buying ½ point = COLTS -5½ -120 (10 cents)
  • After buying 1 point = COLTS -5 -130 (20 cents)
  • After buying 1.5 points = COLTS -4½ -140 (30 cents)
  • After buying 2 points = COLTS -4 -150 (40 cents)

We offer point buying and selling over the internet on the following sports:

  • Basketball: Sides and Totals
  • Football: Sides and Totals
  • Baseball: Totals
  • Hockey: Totals
Run Lines (Baseball)

This is a type of wager in Baseball that combines point spread (number of runs scored) with Moneyline. Its action is based on team position, and thus, if there is a pitching change, wagers will be graded as NO ACTION. The pitcher must throw at least once (without including warm-ups).

Example:
BRAVES - F. Freeman +1½ -140 ASTROS - D. Keuchel -1½ +120

Option A: A $100 wager on the ASTROS run-line would read: ASTROS - D. Keuchel -1½ $100/120 The ASTROS need to win the game by 2 or more runs.

Option B: A $140 wager on the BRAVES run-line would read: BRAVES - F. Freeman +1½ $140/100 The BRAVES can lose the game by up to 1 run and the wager would still be considered a winner.
Puck Lines (Hockey)

This is a type of wager in Hockey that combines point spread (number of goals scored) with money line.

Example:
OILERS +1½ -165 BRUINS -1½ +145

Option A: A $165 wager on the OILERS puck line would read: OILERS +1½ $165/100 The OILERS can lose the game by up to 1 goal and the wager would still be considered a winner.

Option B: A $100 wager on the BRUINS puck line would read: BRUINS -1½ $100/145 The BRUINS need to win the game by 2 or more goals.
It is the member's responsibility to question and clarify any event not covered or rules he/she does not understand prior to placing any wagers.

Halves
First Half Wagers

This refers to a bet placed only on the FIRST HALF of the game. Wagering can be on Moneyline and on the spread, sides and total. You can now buy and sell points on sides. This is a separate wager from the full game and is settled on its own merits. This type of straight bet can be included on IF-BETS and PARLAYS as long as it's not side to side or total to total of the same game.

Second Half Wagers

This refers to a bet placed only on the SECOND HALF (comprehending 3rd quarter, 4th quarter and overtime) of the game. Wagering can be on the Moneyline and on the spread, sides and total. You can now buy and sell points on sides. This is a separate wager from the full game and is settled on its own merits. NOTE: When available, betting on Hockey Periods is possible.

Quarters

This refers to a bet placed on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th QUARTER. Wagering on this can be on the Moneyline and on the spread, sides and total. This is currently available for American NFL, NBA and NCAA games. When available these are located at the bottom of the wagering page (under 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th QUARTER of the selected sport).

This type of straight bet can be included on IF-BETS and PARLAYS as long as it's not side to side or total to total of the same game.

Futures

Futures or Future Bets are those wagers that you can place on odds that have been posted in advance with the forecast of the possible winner of major events including the Super Bowl, the World Series, NASCAR, tournaments in NBA, MLB, NHL, etc.

For MLB 2020 MLB regular season future wagers: The selected team MUST complete 59 games in order to have Action. Any teams that play 58 or fewer games are graded as NO ACTION.

Propositions

A Proposition is a special wager offered on unique and various topics. These wagers can be on sporting events, politics and even pop-oriented. The wagers use the money line format of payoff odds.

Examples of Propositions:
  • • "Who scores the first touchdown in the Super Bowl?"
  • • "Who will win the next presidential election?"
Parlays - Standard

This wager consists of a selection of straight bets with no particular order. All linked within the same wager on which all selections must win to be considered a winner bet. The more teams selected, the greater the payoff is.

For a two-team parlay, if one of the selections pushes then the wager is reduced to a straight bet on the other team. If a parlay contains a push, then the parlay would be reduced by one. For example, a three (3) team parlay with one pushed event becomes a two-team parlay with four teams to three team parlay and so on.

Maximum payout is $150,000 per group of parlays.

It is the member's responsibility to question and clarify any event not covered or rules he/she does not understand prior to placing any wagers.
